BIO

Hailing from Melbourne and Perth, Australia, Ruby and Pete are PRESIDENT STREET - the pop fusion duo who have taken the UK by storm and since returning home in 2023, are rising Australian artists.

Named after the street Pete grew up on in Perth, PRESIDENT STREET began after meeting online where Ruby and Pete's songwriting dynamic of hook filled pop melodies and infectious beats saw them garner a successful 2019 college radio campaign with "Yeah I Know" in the USA. The duo turned their attention to the UK in a move that saw them embark on two headline acoustic tours in 2019. The duo have earned 3 Top 10 hits in the Official UK Music Week commercial pop club charts and garnered interest as featured artists on the prestigious music program BBC The Beat and BBC Introducing. On top of that, they've received extensive coverage from numerous influential music and lifestyle publications such as Wonderland, Rollacoaster and Headliner.

In 2021 they embarked on a tour of England and Germany where in 2022 they continued on a national UK tour with pop-rock legend Roachford as well as playing amongst The Great Escape Festival in Brighton, England. Their eclectic and energetic live set delivers a full sound with Ruby on vocals and an electronic drum pad, Pete on loop pedals, keyboards, percussion and acoustic guitar plus an electric guitarist. The Daily Express reviewed their London O2 Shepherds Bush Empire show as "a vibrant and entertaining performance" where "the songs are perfect to a stretch", with the Bristol Post adding of their O2 Bristol Academy show that "they're clearly headed for big things".

Following from success in the UK, President Street turned their sights back home with their 2023 Australian debut release of their first cover single "She Drives Me Crazy". National radio supporters iHeart Radio, ARN (KIIS FM) and ACE were just a few major supporters, including for their follow up single "Something to Believe" and 2024 release "I Don't Wanna Be".

The duo have been dubbed by numerous music curators as "the ones to watch" - they have their sights set for a huge 2024 and beyond!
