REVIEW

"SHE DRIVES ME CRAZY" BY PRESIDENT STREET

"... an exciting fusion of genre pastiches and dance euphoria... a stunning summer single... Expect exciting synths reminiscent of Calvin Harris, a robust and commandeering drum section which glances to Daft Punk and well-delivered vocals which, at times, echo the melody of that in Whitney Houston’s anthem, “How Will I Know”. Esteemed as ‘ones to watch’ by The Daily Express, Essentially Pop and Headliner, President Street dazzle us with a hook you could hear in any club as people carouse all night long... the structure is well-balanced with airy, dreamy verses filled with gorgeous sounds and effects which precede powerful choruses nothing short of addictive and anthemic." - Full review by Harry Lowery:

PRESIDENT STREET - "SHE DRIVES ME CRAZY"

"... the perfect song to dance to on a Friday night... While it still keeps that 80s sound, the song’s use of electronic elements gives it that fresh new sound that transports the original song into the 21st century... (Ruby) keeps the listeners in with her sweet, yet passionate voice... The production of this song especially shines during the chorus, and it’s what makes this song stand out from the original... INTERVIEW: PRESIDENT STREET - TELL ME BROTHER

"Tell Me Brother started a while back when there were some riots in Australia - that got us thinking about all the wars and general violence in the world that was still happening and even years later is still happening so it’s sadly still relevant today. So the lyrics came first.... The most difficult challenge that all artists and story tellers face really is imposter syndrome. We, like everyone else, continue to struggle with the idea that what we have to say matters but, between us, we’ve built a strong sense of support for each other that allows us to push through and keep making music and doing all the backend side of things all independent musicians do!"  Read the full interview with Kamil Bobin below:

"On the 9th June 2022... the duo... took to the stage... ready to deliver a killer show and oh boy they did and so much more... Ruby's vocals just ignited in perfect harmony that you instantly stood in your place... in complete awe... flawless vocals and performance that you won’t hear from many. With Pete on Keys, Djembe, and Guitar (Acoustic)... he absolutely lit the crowd up... it won’t be long till they are back with their own headline shows and festivals." - review by Gemma from MOTF

Roachford: O2 Academy - 4/5 STARS

'"A quick nod also to support act President Street, an Australian duo bearing a striking resemblance to Sophie Ellis-Bextor backed by Jeff Goldblum. They're clearly headed for big things with an accomplished and versatile range of catchy numbers from synth dance and Get Luckyesque disco to drum 'n' bass and acoustic guitar" - review by Adam Postans"

Roachford REVIEW: swaggering, euphoric and frenetic - 4/5 STARS

"...His openers President Street are also well worth seeing... the Aussie duo delivered a largely up tempo set that kept a wanting crowd more than happy... Singer Ruby Servinis with her slick sexy moves and beautiful rasp-laden voice blended perfectly with the even slicker keyboards and bongos of partner in crime Peter Moses. Complimented here by guitarist Joseph Ross, they delivered a vibrant and entertaining performance... the songs are perfect to stretch... with numbers like the calming Heal... the Down Under wonders are certainly ones to watch." - review by Mark Taylorr

PREMIERE: PRESIDENT STREET - "HEAL"

"...The Australian duo masterfully unites pop and R&B here, making it almost impossible to resist swaying along to its inviting rhythm...the track’s sweet sound... at its core lies a soul-baring message rooted in the necessity of pain and trauma whilst seeking true happiness.  “It’s about accepting that for whatever reason our souls chose the families and relationships we have in order to learn and move forward in our evolution and consciousness... Pain is unpleasant. So as humans we tend to want to avoid it. But the source of our pain can at times hold our greatest gifts if we have the courage to face it and lay ourselves bare to healing deeply and thoroughly from it.”
